Dolce & Gabbana Underwear Campaign 2006

     A football team's locker room, the geometric and vivid environment of the Fifties (perfectly reconstructed inside the multi-functional Dolce & Gabbana Metropol space), the photographer Mariano Vivanco and five Italian football champions: from these exceptional and exclusive elements, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have created the new advertising campaign fro the 2006 men's underwear collection.

     Of certain emotional impact and great plastic strength, the campaign presents the soccer players like modern Greek gods in a relaxing moment; their sculppturesque beauty is highlighted by the expert use of lights on their muscles, exalting a message of sound beauty that is born from continuous training, from a life out in the open air and from the routine of healthy competition.

     Manuele Blasi, Fabio Cannavaro, Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo e Gianluca Zambrotta are the champions Dolce & Gabbana chose in order to best represent the contemporary man, which Mariano Vivanco exalts and defines with his characteristics of vitality, passion, care for himself and attention to his own body.
